IMPORTANT Message (Please read and please share) updated June 19th, 2020.
The Council of Trinity United Church Summerside met March 16th, 2020 and decided with the most recent recommendations of the Chief Public Health Office of PEI we would bring to an end all activities at the Church Building effective immediately.
On June 18th the Council decided, under the latest recommendations the Chief Public Health Office of PEI the following with a further update September 18th, 2020:
The Ministry of Trinity will continue but not in a face to face format within the sanctuary (during this time – June to the September Council Meeting). Instead we will continue to offer online worship every Sunday with our Virtual Worship Services being accessible all week. There will be more opportunities to worship from home for those who do not have access to the internet. Plus, we will be sharing details around the small group ministries that we will be offering throughout the summer in the days and weeks to come. Requests for funerals and other more specified services in the sanctuary, and in the church building will be dealt with on a case by case scenario.
Our office line is still operational and you can contact the office administrator (Wendy Murray) by calling 902-436-3155 or by email at admin@trinitysummerside.ca
Please note: July & August the summer work hours are Tuesday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office will be open to the public on Thursday’s from 10 a.m. till noontime.
Pastoral Visitation will continue by Email and Phone. For non-emergency calls please contact (902)436-3155 and leave a message. Emergency Number at 902-439-1881
Note: Summer Programs are advertised on the sign outside the church, on our webpage at trinitysummerside.ca and on our Facebook Page – Find & Like Us: Trinity United Church Summerside.
We hope you are all safe and well. Further to the Church Council decision to close Trinity United Church, effective March 16, 2020, a further update; the Trinity United Church Building will remain closed until September 17, 2020 with the exception of a two hour window where the church office only is available to the public (Thursday 10am till noon for the months of July and August) with strict cleaning and distancing protocols.
In the effort to protect those maintaining the building, we would ask that you not enter the building for any reason. Should circumstances arise that you need access to the building, arrangements must be made in advance with the Staff and Council of Trinity United Church.
The Council of Trinity United will entertain COVID-19 Operational Plans from rental groups outlining the policies and procedures that the Rentee will have in place in order to operate under the updated Public Health Order(s) issued, within the Summerside Trinity United Building.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation in these difficult times.
